The 7th row of the periodic table is now officially full.

The 7th row of the periodic table is now officially full. The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) announced on December 30, 2015 that a Russian-US team has provided sufficient evidence for elements 115, 117 and 118; this means that the placeholders “Uu”on the periodic table  can now be updated.   These new Row 7 elements are made in the lab.  These lab made elements are produced by  bombarding lighter nuclei into each other and keeping track of the decay of the radioactive superheavy elements that are produced by these collisions.  Learn more…
