Observing Change – how to monitor reactions? Going from white to tan.

Corals are made up of small polyps (a colonial organism).  The polyps have all the features of life.  The colour of the colony is the colour of the symbiont.   Corals are simple.  They only have 2 cell layers. 

The 2016 Vizzies Award winner is Choral Bleaching – the video allows us to better understand how the chloroplast membrane is damaged due to temperature change in the oceans.  If the energy of the system is too high, the cell is damaged.
